True. It was an exceptional contest. It's possible to nitpick about the quality of technique, but the fight was exciting because it was close and because neither fighter stopped trying to win. You can't have a close fight if one is out of their depth.

Katie was rocked, hurt and losing... And found a way to come back. Best women's fight I've ever seen and a high watermark for boxing as a whole so far this year.

The fight wasn’t even that good, people are overhyping it cause it’s womens fight and most are terrible to watch so when we finally get a good one it’s overhyped. There was 3 Great rounds, rounds 5, 6 and 10, the rest were average with Taylor on her dancing shoes and just pot shotting Serrano.

Which one of these ladies will ever be as big as Christie Martin? Which one will be bigger than Laila Ali? It was a great fight but no ceiling was busted. This is not the same as women's tennis, it is closer to women's basketball. No one cares about women's basketball, and the vast majority won't care about women's boxing either. People want to watch the best and as good as the ladies were, their male counterparts are better. Women's boxing should be marketed all it's own if it that great of a product. Just like Porter way podcast said, "it will sell", "we will all buy it", That's great, im sure the rest of the world feels the same way. Do one year of women's only boxing on any or all networks with Arum, Paul, Eddie and Haymon marketing in unision, for the ladies. Just make sure there is betting line on the success and I will put my money where reality is.

So if they did a billion around the world and only 2 people watched it domestically that would be a flop? (obvious exaggeration)

It's world championship boxing if your rooting for the sport you should want everyone to watch, that fight did seem to get a lot of places normal fights don't. Normally fights just fight over a smaller and smaller total viewership, this seems to have pulled in non hardcores if your Bob Arum say this morning your thinking of how I can build Mayer more , Oscar will be happy he's got Estrada, Sky will be salivating over Shields vs Marshal

I swear some people on here wanted the passports of everyone at MSG checked so they could discount them from the ticket sales. "Sorry non American your dollars don't count"

They're talking Croke Park capacity 69500 for the rematch in Ireland which hasn't had a major boxing show for years I can remember. If that worked you can bet Frank and Bob would be straight over to follow up.

Boxing won for once (all boxing) ..

I won’t say Taylor looked out of her class. But let’s not make equally ridiculous statements such as Katie was staggering Amanda lol

There aren't enough women boxers with the talent to keep me watching. These two ladies are the rare exception.

Men are way better than women at tennis too, thats just the way things are & women dont play best of 5 sets which is grueling in the sport but get paid the same for best of 3 sets, not bad for women in that sport actually, btw i like womens tennis too but u cant expect power like the men have in either sport because women are built differently, they have to bear children
