Amanda would have got her out of there in round five if it was the full 3. Hearn and company knew this.

Yet serrano was the one who was tired after the 5th.
Katie relies more on her skill, on angles and timing. Shes been in more wars and is basically close to the end physically whilst retaining her experience. Serrano was more energetic until she got tired.

Furthernore the only times katie looked vulnerable was when she stood and traded with amanda and she didnt need to do that...but i suspect she did that knowing amanda would tire herself out. That's strategy. Like fmj vs maidana.

So you want to change the rules to suit one fighter? What kind of logic is this?

Women were created equal, IMO. Give 'em the full three.

Katie's skill of taking punches to the face until Serrano punched herself out.

That is literally what happened. Homer Simpson style.

I believe it's called punching yourself out which she did in that round. Go back and watch prime Thurman vs Guerrero. He battered Robert in one round but completely punched himself out which allowed Robert to pick up the next 2 rounds while Thurman was trying to recover. It happens.

Hmmmmm? But it was Serrano who tired after the 5th, it was Serrano who went downhill for the rest of the fight.

Are women's fights usually 3 minute rounds and Taylor was being sneaky and demanded 2 minute rounds?

I imagine she turned it down because both contracts were already signed with two minute rounds and camp was underway. More of a PR move from Serrano I'd say.

Serrano thought she was going to get her out and punched her self out a bit. She was still throwing hard punches but not as many as she usually does.

That weight might not suit her and why she mentions it.
