He won't but If Lopez did fight Taylor next that'd be the beginning of the end of his boxing career. I don't think Lopez will have much success at 140lbs. He couldn't even handle Kamboso at 135lbs. and a lot of the 140lbers are big guys who could probably fight at 147lbs but I'm assuming they're waiting for guys like Spence to move up..

Lopez is a big lightweight. His temperament gets him into trouble and he obviously has a delicate ego.

He would be potentially committing career suicide by moving straight up to fight Taylor as we saw, he wouldn't get a decision, he would need to KO Taylor or completely dominate him.

If he were to lose that fight, he would become little more than a weight floater, a has-been, taking grudge matches of little importance.

He needs to calm down, realize and own what he did wrong in the Kambosos fight, and rebuild. He's still in his mid-twenties, What's the rush?

Take a couple of easier fights at 140, work on controlling his aggression, and take it from there.

It's like he thought that getting a razor thin decision against Loma made him the best fighter P4P, and therefore any other fighter after that was a tomato can not on his level.

Perhaps the Loma fight was too much for him too soon, because he just comes off now as a surly, bitter and twisted kid that wants his ball back or he'll throw a tantrum.

Lopez's mindset was all wrong for Kambosos, he thought K.jr was just another bum with a padded record, and when things didn't go his way, he acted like a kid who had his toys taken away.

He needs to do some serious soul searching, man up and take responsibility, stop whining, maybe even hire a new team, I'm not sure his Dad is a good influence on him, his corner instructions during the K.Jr fight were woeful.

Wow mlac! Such refreshing news thank you.

Teofimo Lopez is about to get his hand on Josh Taylor?! To think that the WBO tried to stop the 'Takeover' by demoting Lopez in rank below Jose Ramirez and that Aussie-Bum Liam Paro, this really does speak to the public's demand to see Josh Taylor get beat down again, but this time Lopez will get the job done by taking it out of the judges hands.

And by the way, you inspired my 'Outback Zombie' Tim Tszyu sig, I read your hilarious contributions on the official Tszyu vs. Gausha thread, credit is due. Thanks.

Lopez beat Lomachenko only because Loma went lazy to the fight and threw away first 4 rounds. Than Lomachenko still made it looking close.

Than he got destroyed by Kambosos.

Gervonta probably knocks Lopez out. I doubt Lopez beats any top 10 guy at 140.

Teofimo Lopez is like Amber Herd without the breasts.

Teo thinks his problems are external and there's nothing to fix, his personality disorder will never allow him to take responsibility.

Lopez is counting on a weak, weight drained Taylor but Taylor has multiple mandatory fights at 140lbs and he's contracted with TR....BIG PROBLEM. The minute Lopez had the upper hand he syht on Arum & Top Rank. His team assumed they'd blow through George and didn't need Arum anymore. Obviously it didn't work out and Arum is pissed.
