Shakur is very good and could prove to be great if he fights everyone, but I wish I could say that I'm as excited about him as Ward/Bradley are. I think he'll win me over because the skills and smoothness are there, but he needs to stay active. I would like to see him fighting every over 4-5 months. Try to become undisputed at 130lb as quickly as possible, and then move up and face a top 10 guy.

Shakur was getting hit by a midget in comparison. We'll see what happens when he moves up and with a fair referee.
      Are you crying?

Stevenson is just boring. He has no power so just 12 rd decisions against decent competition. A little like Mayweather as hard to hit but just boring to watch.

          - The crowd was not even cheering at the beginning of the 12th. Stevenson needs fans.
-The probing changed (to an extent) the dynamic of the fight. He established range with it. A point should have been taken.
          - Valdez’s sporadic work rate put the fight out of reach for him. Could he have changed the outcome? Maybe not, but he sure would feel better about his performance today if he threw more shots.
          - Dont physically run away at the end of the fight!
I agree, Stevenson is a talent, but the probing should have been stopped early on by Bayless. I expected more out of Valdez, given his vast experience and warrior mentality. When he did manage to get inside, he smothered his punches. I thought Shakur looking at the clock in the 12th round to time when he would run away, detracted from what was mostly a brilliant performance.

Tank is not fighting at 130 anymore! 135 only! Gutierrez WBA Champ @ 130! I'd rather see Shakur fight GRJ or Navarette (or both) @ 130! If he wins, he could move up to challenge Haney vs. Kambosos winner in 2023!

Wonder why all you want. When Shakur moves to 135 I’m going to wonder why Tank will duck him like he’s ducked all the other best fighters at 135. We’ll see what excuses you make for him.

Shakur did what he was supposed to do. He beat a smaller fighter with no power and limited skills. Now it’s time to step up to 135 and back up all his talk.

Yet the Madison Square Garden crowd was on fire all night long for that fight.

While the Stevenson-Valdez crowd was dead. With the level of dominance Shakur showed he should have pushed more for a knockout.

That's the difference between becoming a PPV attraction or just fighting on ESPN.

I agree. He's just so boring to watch. Against Tank he could have issues. Just a weak jab won't keep Tank away. Tank could beat him up.

We know why. I mean how in the hell is what he just did unimpressive? Lmfao.

You mean will Bob let him beat Loma like he just did Valdez.

He might get The Kambosis v Haney winner If Loma is still tied up with this insanity in Ukraine.

Then the perfect marketing is the “returning war hero” against the villian.

Eventually he gets to Tank and Teo at 140.
