I’ve always actually thought Liam Smith is the best of the brothers, even if the general consensus was that it was Callum

He’s not an elite fighter or anything but he’s a good fighter and he got robbed in Russia, the only 2 genuine losses on his record our Canelo and Munguia

And even for the Munguia fight, he had been inactive for a long time and got into USA about five days before the fight because of visa problems.

He will always struggle at the very top level or maybe against certain styles, but I still think there’s plenty of good fights he can be in at 154

He’s one of the few fighters over here that can fight on the inside. Think him and Tszyu would be a great clash of styles.

I’d probably go Callum but Liam has definitely overachieved the most out of the four. Paul and Callum were Commonwealth Silver Medalists and Stephen won Gold and medalled in the Europeans. Meanwhile, Liam never really made any waves internationally and tbh was more interested in football than boxing, I’m pretty sure he still plays in the West Cheshire now which is a decent level tbf. So turning pro he was a kid most thought had a ceiling of domestic level and the fact he’s won a World title, fought Canelo, fought in Vegas, NYC, AT&T stadium etc. He’s a massive overachiever in my book.
