Soon people will be saying only a welterweight will be able to beat him. And once he puts on more weight there probably won’t be many welters that will be able to.

He can’t be touched.
I respectfully disagree. He is most definitely talented but I don’t see greatness. I definitely see someone that is a top 5 guy of this generation of fighters. He is no Pacquiao or Mayweather.
I think a 130lb Delahoya, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Mosely, Pernel W., Chavez, Marquez, Barrera, Morales would ALL WHIP HIM.
Hard to say now, beating Jamel Herring isn't a career defining victory. Valdez is pretty big step up in competition. Stevenson could just circle the ring, land 2 pots shots a round, and win by decision. But I wouldn't consider that greatness.
Still too early to tell need to see him vs better talent. Broner was also a "generational talent/next mayweather" at shakurs age and well....we all know how that worked out.
He had a great night. But he’s there to be hit, especially with the straight right. Plenty of good fights to make for him and he showed some grit and toughness tonight. Valdez worked his body and he held up.
I rep Shakur to the fullest because he’s an Essex County, NJ boxer.
As much as I am a fan, I don’t think he’s proven to be that yet.
But let’s be real- if he beats Loma and The Haney/Kambosis winner at 135 and the Teo/ Taylor winner at 140 ( because it appears TR is moving toward those fights happening) then it might be time to revisit this discussion.
