Seriously, a Marquez vs Hamed fight never took place due to Hamed's camp. Not Marquez's.


But overall I don't trust these "experts" point of views on fighters. More than half the time, it's from old douche bags who just love the sound of their own voices.

ESPN classic or a boxing channel needs to show half these guys. Cause I think I've seen the set mark for speed, power, and endurance from fighters. I don't think older fighters were magically better than anyone else. The ones like Duran and Leonard, had blatant attributes. So I gotta see these top 25's attributes. Simple as that.

He didn't unify 'all' the titles. He never won the WBA belt. And, he never unified more than 2 titles at a time. He unified the WBO with the IBF. Gave up the IBF cuz he didn't want to fight JMM. And, then unified the WBO with the WBC. And, JMM also unified titles at featherweight. He unified the IBF and the WBA.

The word that matters is effectively. Vasquez SHOULD have had the BA belt when they fought and he won all the others.

Exactly. No oen can know who wins that fight. I think Marquez but Hamed was tricky and certainly could have hurt JMM. Hamed had a fantastic run and was FAR from the only guy ever to duck a particular guy.

This isn't a who would beat who list, it's a who achieved most in terms of titles won, quality of opposition at the weight, title defences, lineal titles won, etc.:

1. Number of fellow champions faced (total) then divided into a competition score to flatten the field due to the fluctuation in titles recognized.

If you mean its questionable to rate him at all, I might agree. Higher than that? Tough sell given the resumes involved. 22 of the 25 are already in the Hall for a reason.
