I'm reading mixed opinions on that chick fight.
Most say Amanda should have won but maybe let Katie off the hook ?
Peeped some of the highlights on cbssports...pretty decent exchanges.

Maybe something good can come from this, if it was a robbery...as in a 3 fight trilogy ?

I don't think it was a blatant robbery, just that the cards for Taylor were cooked as ****.

Had it a draw at best. Maybe 1 point up for Taylor if you held a gun to my head, but not 3 or 4 point leads as the 2 cards in her favour said.

Having said that, Serrano gassed towards the end, for sure, and some of the early rounds looked very difficult to score. Both almost took each other out, tbf.

You should, it was a hell of a fight.

I don't know if you're averse because it's women's boxing, or something like that (or maybe just had other **** on), but all you need is well matched fighters.

I'd watch ****ing junior school kids or pensioners fight if they were well matched.

I get the feeling the gap between opponents is too wide. That every fight is a mismatch of sorts

The main girl will be so many levels better than the opponent that it becomes comical.

Good point; serious lack of depth. You get marketing machine boxers like Taylor who are obviously streets above the rest since she can put time in that they can't.

The thing is, there's definitely enough fights like tonight's out there in women's boxing. But obviously, the promoters are pulling the same marinating **** that they do in the men's game, except big names are not just taking on lesser opponents, but outright part-timers.

Up to other observes to decide if it looks any worse than what you see in men's boxing, though. Don't see too many promotional events where the undercard's packed with close contests, if not the headliner. Matchroom's are normally wash outs.

I think we rightfully expect more from real boxing while giving women boxing room to be what it is.
Women are pushing for 3 min rds. Once that happens, I will give it a chance.
