Oh wow, small world. He was from Troup. I know a few boxers who still train out of there, Tyler, & Jacksonville. Cruiser weight out of Troup/Tyler fighting Andrew Tabiti May 21st

not that you care, but since you’re from east tx, Shamarian Snider is fighting Tabiti in San Antonio in May, and 122/126 Kenneth taylor is a solid talent out of ETX. Probably two highest rated boxers in the area, though their are a few young guys coming up. Hate to say it, but don’t think there are any world champs coming from Tyler/Jville/Longview for awhile.

Also recommended checking into Byron Payton, though limited info. Was a very very highly rated amatuer at his age of passing 16/17 in 1980 along with 21 other boxers & everyone else on the flight. One of the best light middleweight weight amatuers in the world at the time and potential member of the 84 team. Passed away on a 40 fight win streak.

Very even matchup. Hunter didn’t look as sloppy that round, but I feel like driver is going to rock his bell eventually especially how often Hunter is trying to adjust his trunks

Agreed. I think Moreno looked really good against Duran Jr as well considering his age.
