The flag tattoo, supporting chavez etc, but then claims the US is playing politics. He dug his own hole by playing his own politics and expects the US to play nice. I personally don't blame them for keeping his ass out.Well this sucks... now the undercard of Cotto vs Pacquiao gonna suck
WBC world lightweight champion Edwin “El Inca” Valero (25-0, 25 KOs) of Venezuela has been denied the renewal of his work visa to be able to fight in the United States. “I have been a victim of discrimination by a situation that is clearly political,” stated Valero, who has often showed his admiration and friendship toward Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez. He was hoping to defend his world title against WBC super featherweight champion Humberto “Zorrita” Soto on Top Rank’s November 14 super card in Las Vegas featuring Manny Pacquiao vs Migiel Cotto. Valero will now instead defend his WBC belt on December 12 at El Nuevo Circo in Caracas, Venezuela. “Nobody will stop the career of Edwin Valero,” he added. “Please allow me to fight in the U.S., as I do in Venezuela, Europe or Asia. I am the champion and I have enough sporting merit fight anywhere in the world.”

Supports the anti American agendas on one hand, then chases after the American dream on the other. The hypocrisy is deafening.Last edited by deanrw; 09-17-2009, 02:07 AM.Comment

He is NOT a U.S. Citizen and he does NOT have that privilege.
A worker's visa is a privilege and not a right.
citizens have different rights then non citizens.
I've seen other people's work visas revoked because of DUI, Valero is
no different just because he is a boxer. The law is the law.Comment

There is no good reason for this country to deny us what would certainly be an action packed fight that would most likely end in ko.....wtf is Valero going to do steal some national secrets? ko *****? Still that would be the most notable opponent on his resume.Comment

are you aware of the process it takes to get a workers visa let alone appeal the revocation of one? why would you train for a fight you are not sure you will get to attend?
that **** takes time and 3 months isn't a lot of time.Comment

how long did the process take? u know damn well it didn't take under 3 months.
btw, you are making yourself look like a fool. not to mention, writing your posts in large bold letters doesn't give your statements any more merit or make them logical or better.. it only makes you come off as a douche.Comment
