Arreola vs. Klitchko...Does body mass make a difference.

Chris Arreola, a naturally big, strong heavyweight, looks a little flabby in the arms and gut area, but still proves to be a formidable force in the heavyweight ranks. Vitali Klit, sculpted heavyweight, showing a physique clearly athletic in nature, much more so than Arreola, and another formidable force in the heavyweight ranks...when pitted against each other, will the differnece in body types be a factor in the final outcome of the match? Honest opinions please.

Klitchko is in better shape than Chris, is bigger, stronger, more experienced, and will probably win every single round. I think Chris will have good moments, but little else.

And yes, mass makes a difference, but only if you can use it. Klitchko is just too big and tough for Arreola, and I hated to see Chris sign this fight so early in his career. It's going to demote him to gatekeeper status.

I agree with Klitchko being in much better shape. But it brings me back to the John Ruiz/Evander Holyfield fight. Ruiz was much like Arreola, big but flabby in all the wrong places. Evander, another cut up dude, had to really tuff it out, and eventually ruiz got a lot of pressure on in that fight. Think it could be a similar scenario?

Ruiz was never cut and heavily muscled, but he was in much better shape than Arreola. Also, he was naturally bigger than Holyfield. Evander's natural weight class was cruiser, and he could've even fought at light heavy if he'd wanted to. Remember, he was fighting at around 185, and in the olympics was fighting even lighter. Ruiz was a fairly big guy, and I think the natural size difference showed in that fight.

The opposite is true in this case. Klitchko is 6'8" tall, for Christ's sake, and his walking around weight is about 250# of solid muscle, and has been a world class athlete his entire life. Chris, on the other hand, probably has a body fat of about 20%, and his natural weight would probably be a little over 200#, if he were in good shape. Klitchko is just too big, strong, and experienced for Arreola.

Fat can help observe body punches, but VK don't throw many of those. It can only be a disadvantage for Arreola to be a fatass. VK will KO him. He's a better fighter and in better shape.

Yeah, and I guess with Klit's jab alone, Chris is in for a hell of a night.

Oh yeah. Arreola has poor discipline when not training and it's got to hurt him. He's so flabby and big that it has to wear him down, and makes him so much slower and kills his stamina.

Vitali always comes in shape and will be able to go harder, longer than Arreola, eventhough he's 38.

One loss doesn't make you a gatekeeper.

                  Come off the hbo bull****.

I've always known that of the 2 Klit bros, Vitali was the most vicious puncher and his chin is way better than Wladimir's. If Chris were fighting Wlad, maybe he has a punchers chance of a flash knockout, but with Vitali, I see it as impossible. Lennox Lewis can attest to that.
