Edgar Berlanga will face someone on a level comparable to his previous opponent in his next fight. BoxingScene.com has learned that Brooklyn's Berlanga and Colombia's Alexis Angulo have agreed to meet in a 10-round super middleweight match June 11 at Madison Square Garden's Hulu Theater in New York. ESPN will televise their fight as the main event of a tripleheader the night before the annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade in Manhattan.

This guy was a punching bag against Benavidez. I'm on the fence with this fight.

To be fair, Steve Rolls was a punching bag against Golovkin...and we saw what Rolls did to Bumlanga. So

You need to rewatch that fight. Rolls looked good early on. He was tuning GGG up, but got way ahead of himself and got caught.

Rolls looked good early (I remember the fight), but to say tuning up GGG is a huge stretch. Had some success since Golovkin tends to start slow anyhow but GGG didn’t really flinch with Rolls shots. He knew he could finish anytime he wanted. Canelo is the only one that “tuned up” Golovkin (and that was in two dead even fights). No one else from #154 - #160 had a prayer against Golovkin the last decade.

This is a good progressive fight for Berlanga, and I would also like to see Berlanga rematch Rolls.
I want to see if Berlanga learned anything from their first fight, and can decisively beat Rolls the second time around.
It's very important for him, as it is for every other fighter to learn and perfect their skills as their career progresses.

This will be competitive. Top Rank have the best match makers in the game but Berlanga losing to one of these mid level guys would still be no big surprise.

Not a bad fight but def not main event or co-feature worthy

I'm not sure. Berlanga sold out the small room at MSG against Steve Rolls so...
