Fernando Vargas put a stain on his career that can't be erased, shaming himself with that disgraceful act, and still losing.
Oscar De La Hoya deserves all the credit in the world for being able to defeat a drugged up adversary.
Who really pressed Oscar in the beginning of that fight big time, it looked like Fernando was going to steam roll him.
As testament to Oscar's great fighting spirit in his heyday, he weathered the initial onslaught, and steam rolled Fernando.
Which goes to show why someone shouldn't ever be so desperate as to commit a crime, simply to reach a goal.

The oldest is ok. But Amado straight out sucks.
I've seen them at the gyms and in the Amateur tournaments.

I dont mind saying it. Because its my opinion. Plus. Fernando Varhas is such a prick when you meet him.
Sound's like words of wisdom coming from a wise, and honest man who has met the Vargas clan.
I do remember how arrogant Vargas came across in interviews, and his legal problems do to his violent ego.
Then to cheat on top of all that, what else is there to say, except that he may have matured as he got older.

After watching the Paulie interview with the whole family I knew they were hyping up one of the younger ones, comparing him to the likes of Lomachenko and such... Just couldn't remember which one but seems like it's Emiliano for sure then based on your first-hand account. I mean just reviewing it quickly skimming over it Amado is admitting to getting outboxed easily once he went from novice to open in the amateurs. Jr meanwhile always wearing sunglasses in the studio looking like a douche talking about wobbling former/current world champions in sparring and clout chasing twitter bull****.

          Vargas hasn't matured.
Dude still walks around like he's some sort of mafioso who's shet don't stink.
Walks past most guys in the gym and only acknowledges the people he thinks are important.

Compared to the father. The sons are pretty cool though.

That being the case Fernando Vargas, is the worst kind of fool their is in life, an old fool.
That said he needs to be careful, because you never know who you can push to the edge.
I'm glad to hear that his son's haven't turned out to be replicas of their father.
That alone makes them champions, champions of life which is way more important than winning a title.
