It is bigger because, these two fighters are still at the top of their game or near enough 'And the fight is happening, in all honesty? At boiling point'. Both fighters have fought all other contenders, they have won multiple Championships, there is nowhere else for them to go.
Mayweather was eroded by the time he fought Pacquiao, way more eroded than Pacquiao 'Who should of capitalized on Mayweather's decrease in performance, but could not'.
For me this is the biggest all american championship fight since Mayweather vs De La Hoya.
It is bigger than Fury vs Wilder I, II & III.
It is bigger than Uysk vs Joshua, bigger than Fury vs Whyte.
I am looking forward to those heavyweight fights more than this fight. But I will have to admit, Crawford vs Spence Junior is a bigger deal.
1. He has 50 fights total, Pac had 72 bouts
2. When they both came into their own till their fight from 2001 to 2015 starting with Corrales for Mayweather and 2003 to 2015 starting with Barrerra for Pac, Floyd had 26 fights (14 yrs), Pac had 25 fight (12 yrs)
3. He turned pro in 1996, Pac turned Pro in 1995
4. Pac fighting style takes years off careers and those fighters have very short prime window so the fact that he was still at the pinnacle with that kind of style is short of amazing. Never mind he was knocked out cold in between admist all the wars
5. When Welterweight was hot in 2007, Floyd was busy retiring and he said it himself, you have all these guy beating up on each other
Call it down the middle and remove the BS. Of course, am not saying Floyd stayed in his prime forever but Manny was clearly more eroded by the time they met which was by the way, was part of the Mayweather plan (it was by design)

This will be an excellent fight that will get both hardcore boxing fans and casuals interested.
Leaning toward Bud via UD... he's just a better boxer.

That is my opinion.
Pacquiao spent most of his career being ****** about, so stating that he was knocked out proves nothing much. That was always coming.
