The Pistons are the defending champion after beating the Lakers last season in a very dramatic fashion in which they totally outplayed the Lakers. After doing that, will they repeat this time now that they are about to face the hottest team in the East? My thoughts on this is they are in for a really tough match-ups, their big weapons in the backcourt like Hamilton, Billups, & Hunter will face their match in the person of Wade, Anderson, and Eddie Jones. Basically Miami Heat has got a lot of guards for them to guard Hamilton or Billups for example. My prediction, Heat will win it, eliminating the Pistons and even Shaq is on the other team (and not a Laker anymore), his memory of last season will still be there and it will be sweeter if his team eliminates the Pistons.
Will the Pistons pass through Miami Heat?

I agree with your statements and I also believe that Detriot even though they are a good team does not have the momentum or swagger they had last season since acquiring Rasheed Wallace. And this season I believe, not too sure, that his numbers are below his average and he is definitely not as productive. Last season the Pistons had a certain mystery to them because no one knew how well they would do in the playoffs even though they were the top seed in the East. I think now they dont seem to have that confidence they had last season...
I dont think they are strong enough to handle Miami and although the Pistons did take care of the Lakers, I dont think it will be the same facing the Heat. The Heat did not win 3 championships as the Lakers did, the Heat are hungry to win! So I dont think people should compare Kobe/Shaq with Wade/Shaq.. Anyways, it should be good to hear from you guys..

for sure, it's miami vs detriot in the eastern showdown.
but miami will pull through and will eventually win the NBA finals. they just have what it takes to dominate the league -- systematic coaching system, wide array of talents (both in defense and in offense), discipline, hunger, youth and experience combined, and of course... ShaqComment

I think Miami has what it takes to beat Detriot but a healthy SA team will take it this year. Ive always been a Laker fan and this year is as bad as it gets for us. I more interested this year than last at the matchups in the playoffs. I think it will be funner to watch this year than last year even if my team isnt making the playoffs
.Nobody has to say it I know the Lakers suck but we will be back! I cant wait to see the conference finals.Suns vs. Spurs will be crazy and Heat vs. Pistons is just tearing me apart.
