Would be a good fight but he'll probably fight Hooker these contenders need to fight each other.
Skills do pay the bills - and Benn is still early phase yet has shown up every single time. Only Formella - tough as that dude is - has weathered the storm thus far.

This isn't to say Benn beats the top level, but when we look at what Benn is able to do and who he's doing it against, and contrast that with the "eye test" of Boots and the overhype behind him, it's not close.

Benn is DOING what everyone says Boots can do, but Benn is doing it against talented, named opposition where Boots is still stuck at the C-level. How do you explain that? And no, it's not him being ducked. He needs to fight people that are recognizable stars, past or present, to build his name and that's what he's not been doing.

Remember what happened with Bumlanga recently - the first time he stepped up to someone with at least a basic name, he got exposed. Same is likely to happen with Boots if he doesn't take this type of opposition.

Put Boots in with someone at twilight: Broner, Guerrero, even Victor Ortiz. Someone who's not afraid of him but will sufficiently test him, so we can see if he's legit or not. That's what they're matching Benn with, and it's working well for his popularity.

Exactly why I want to see Benn vs Boots.

Put them in there against each other while their stars are still on the rise. If either lose it won't effect them at all. It will be similar to Canelo losing to Floyd at 25. Still more than enough time to recover and get better even.

But they probably won't ever make the matchup or talk about it until they are in their early 30s, when a loss will definitely derail their career potential earnings.
