    The short answer is NO.

Floyd Sr said "In my honest opinion, I believe..."

That means the statement is not slanderous. Slander is a defamatory statement without factual basis. Mayweather did not present it as fact. He presented it as his opinion.
    Error..

    slan⋅der
/ˈslændər/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [slan-der] Show IPA
    Use slander in a Sentence
    See web results for slander
    See images of slander
    –noun
    1. defamation; calumny: rumors full of slander.
    2. a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report: a slander against his good name.
    3. Law. defamation by oral utterance rather than by writing, pictures, etc.

by definition of Slander, Sr. did in fact make a malicious, false and defamatory statement.

This is what you don't understand. Floyd Sr is a PROMINENT figure in the world of boxing. His words carry weight and without any actual FACT, regardless of whether it is opinion or not, he made a statement that is malicious, false and defamatory. He basically called Pacquiao a CHEATER.

If Roach can prove that what senior said can hurt Pacquiao's name AND business which being associated with steroids can, then they have a case.

        Libel is written.

        Slander is spoken.

Pac's got a slander suit for defamation. Unless Sr. also wrote about it, he has no libel suit.
