Come on we both know full well if the shoe was on the other foot with this......you don't see me defending Minto. Hopkins was rattled by Joe's comments about beating him and when angered he said what was on his mind without thinking - ie he spoke from his subconscience.

i don't think its racism if he thinks that black fighters in general fight better than white fighters,he woulnd't of trained with roach or be partner with oscar, and what about the young kid who died, whos last wish it was to see and spend time with b-hop,he made that kid dream come true, spend more time with him than any other sport star would of done..and plus he put the gloves he beat pavlik with in that boys coffin..i dont think he disslikes white people at all and how often do we say **** we dont mean.

I agree, Hopkins was just trying to sell the fight with Calzaghe.

I mean, even though people dont like to hear or admit it,
there is racism in the world big time! But the thing that
makes people hate on Floyd more than any other is his
big ass mouth. I think if he just did what he had to do
and not talk so much then maybe it would lessen the
hate BUT no matter what, he aint going to stop everyone
from trying to discredit him and thats goes for every race.

Wlad, Vitali, Kessler are white and they're not huge.
Shane Mosley is huge, Tyson was huge even in 2005. Stop believing Floyd's bull crap.
Being black is not a disadvantage in boxing. Most of Boxing's biggest draw in history are black: Ali, Tyson, Louis, Robinson, Leonard. Mayweather is looking for excuses.

But, what if Calzaghe would of said No black duede would ever beat me. Do you think he would of gotten some backlash from it? Or would people look at like Joe trying to sell the fight?

Actually I hear what your saying & agree pretty much here. The thing is *most* of us want to get on & respect one another but sometimes pressure can get to us. I still thing Hopkins is racist but I don't think he wants to be.

I think the people he hangs around with, his environment, even being in jail 9which is VERY segregated) causes him to think these things but ultimately he doesn't want to be that way. Point in fact his tears when he beat Pavlik; he was very happy do do that. The bottom line is Hopkins seeks affirmation that he is a good person. he thinks he is, believes he is, wants to be but there are and were factors in his life that affect his perception. People can be prejudiced and not like/want to be at the same time.

Floyd however is a total racist and wants to be one. He thinks money puts him on a pedastool that makes him untouchable.

LOL. mosley is far from huge. hes well respected within the boxing community but hes not a mainstream star. wlad, vitali and kessler are all huge in europe.

and u can find guys who were big draws from any race so namedropping a few doesnt impress anyone.

u can certainly be big if you are black, but its harder. would pavlik get that big that fast if he was black? i doubt it.

i acctually agree with you though, but your arguments were pure ****.

I understand what you are saying totally but Bhop did get a lot
of back lash from saying it all in all so the door swings both
ways. But I do feel if Calzaghe said it, Black people would
have took it harder only if Joe used the N word. I think its
                      BS none the less.
