The spence that beat kell Brook would beat any man at 147 outside of possibly Jaron ennis. Whether that fighter still exists is up for debate

Sorry Zab, Throwback fighters don't duck their chief rival for 3-4yrs., while making 10,000 excuses Bumping their gums and fooling the less intelligent fans of the sport.

If he gets past Ugas, we'll see just how throwback he is. If Mr "Easy route"(his words) doesn't call out Bud IMMEDIATELY then I don't wanna hear s--t else about him at welterweight.

Yeah jaron Ennis is still unproven but man that guy has special athleticm that not many people are gonna be able to live with. Like prime Shane Mosley kinda athleticm he could be the best fighter right now if he gets the chances

Spence is one of these fighters who doesn't do anything really special in there. He's not the quickest or hits the hardest but everything he does his methodical and has very sound fundementals and he's not flashy it's almost basic stuff but he does it so well that he just grinds guys down and just stamps his authority in a fight

Spence is kinda old school, and shall be more so if he fights absolutely anyone.

As Floyd might say, not much special effects, not much flash, but he's so effective.

Of course, in past eras', long before Roy Jones, there were guys with the flashy styles like Ali and Robinson, but they also had the great skill and substance.

But then you had great fighters like Hagler, not a style with pizzazz like Leonard, but so incredibly effective.

How would a fine new talent like Ennis do against Spence, I don't know, but would love to see it.

The fighter he seems most alike without switch hitting is Marvelous Marvin, the way he approaches a fight, his determination and drive and he's trying to get you outta there. The kid is very aggressive like Marvin and eats whatever punches he has to, but one thing about him he keeps coming until he lands his shots with bad intentions each time.

I don't know if I'd say throwback fighter. he has some of the old school swagger though. As another poster said above if he goes straight to Bud, gets Undisputed, then hits 54 and gets belts, then yes. that would be daring to be great.
