After one month of aerobic weights 3-4 times weekly and running on weights days and a couple of other days weekly I was down to 147 lb, then I got the bug and began lifting for strength while still running and playing squash. I did 6-8 hrs of weights a week in three or four sessions, played at least 6 hrs of squash in three sessions, and ran at least five miles on three days a week after my weight training. After two more months I was back at 161 lb - all muscle. I had gained that weight through sheer hard work, even though I'd done a lot of aerobic work to round it off. Eventually I got my weight up to 180 lb. This took around six years, and unless I stopped training and continued to eat as if I was training, my weight stabilised there. I never touched steroids. At 48 years of age I bench pressed 220 lb 22 times. At that time I weighed in at around 82 kilos or 180.4 lb. If Manny is doing strength training he would be doing a lot of other work JUST in order to keep his weight DOWN! He would certainly NOT need steroids to gain the tiny bit of weight he has accumulated over the years.

You're absolutely right. The Mayweather camp are among those who started the rumours about Manny, and there are so many idiots out there who will believe
      a) anything the media say or write, or
      b) anything bad about someone who challenges their favorite fighter.
      Why do we bother?

I don't beleive Pacquiao would cheat .He said hard work and faith in God .No chance he'd do that and betray his nation .

i think reason roids gets used is because pac goes up in weight and has little body fat, where as Duran had more body fat as he moved up in weight, but yes did retain his power but looked nothing like the sculpture he once did.

maybe if pac didn't drain his opponets maybe he'd look ordinary. whatever it is only way to keep him performing like he does is keep him away from marquez.

yeah but his head got bigger... Look at the weigh ins. His head looks rounder and his cheeks aren't as small.

Duran looked fat because he moved up in weight divisions by eating more and exercising less. Power can be helped by certain exercises and yes drugs... but mainly you either have it or you don't. Manny always had it. His issue as a younger fighter was technique, tactics, and he only used his left. He's a better fighter overall.

You can also evaluate whether an athlete has natural power as well as the ability to carry weight by the size of his legs/thighs/and glutes. Pacquiao always had thick legs for his size, even as a lightweight.

MANNY PACQUIAO IS ON STEROIDS and nobody is talking about it. How can a guy come up from 105 to 154 and hurt and knock out fighters? That`s like Sergio Martinez going up to heavy weight and hitting so hard that the heavy weights run from him. Listen to Shanes comments: The punches were very different I`ve never felt anything like it. Listen to De la hoya: Those punches felt alot like the Vargas punches. Plus he doesn`t want to take the test. First Pacquiao said he was afraid of needles. Then when he was confronted with the tatoos he said he gets dizzy and can`t train for 3 days after a blood test. But he had a blood test in the first Morales fight when Morales won and he went straight to training the day after the test was conducted. Wake up People!
