I'd say for most people it's his attitude that brings him negative attention. BUT, we are definitely not in post-racial America like some would claim and it probably does affect the type of coverage he gets. Not as much as Floyd would like to think though. Manny Steward isn't an uncle tom, he is just a strange guy.

I have met Manny before. My pops trained at Kronk with Stewart for awhile with my godfather Milton IceMan McCrory, Stevie McCrory (84 Gold Medalist), Tommy Hearns and all those guys. I actually met him for the first time out in Vegas about 4 years ago. He was a very mellow dude.
