Thanks for the vid. I hadn't seen that.

Interesting comments by Bernstein. I still think that there are many problems with boxing which might put off the casual viewer but you can't disagree that the promoters, crooked as they may be, are atleast trying to make the big fights happen and that it deserves more news coverage than what it's getting.

Funnily enough I've seen more coverage of boxing in Finnish news, in a country where almost no one follows boxing aside from local shows, than in some American newssites that I've read on the internet. You usually see atleast a slight mention of an important boxing fight.

The Boxing coverage here in the states is horrendous and it's been like that for a long time, when they do cover the sport it's a joke how little they know since they can't even pronounce the names or they just get them outright wrong.

Floyd Mayweather "Has Pacquiao ever lost?"

        Random ESPN guy "No!"

More people need to watch it, he made some strong points but the video is long..This forum has the attention span of 30 seconds, people here comment on fights they haven't even seen.

very good points, Ive always liked Al.

the promoters arent quite there yet in producing perfect cards, but you can tell that theyre really trying for it.

I think a problem in boxing is that its too spread out. its not uncommon for you to see a boxing match on HBO and Showtime on the same night, and then sometimes youll even have a low level PPV card and then there are even meaningful fights that are nontelevised! not to mention that there could be good matchups over in Europe that America never gets to see without the internet.

If all the boxing promoters and companies joined together more, we would have some REALLY stacked cards. I dont get why they cant just buy off the tape of some high level European fights and show them on the undercard or on ESPN or something.
In the end, it would net them all a lot more cash
