Back in 2011, I thought Broner vs Danny Garcia would be the next Super Mega fight.

Don't feel bad, Larry thought Broner would be fighter of the decade.

Hated Broner back then! He talked so much crap but put the "friend" stamp on dam near every body (i.e., Danny, Lamont Peterson, and a few others). Everybody was his "big brother" until he was seemingly down on his luck...hence the Floyd callout after the Theophane fight. Broner was already in stage 2 of his decline but he was still popular back then.

I always knew Broner would struggle when he moved up to Welterweight. His power wouldn’t translate and he was a lot of flash and little substance.
I did think before Danny Garcia sparked him that Amir Khan would get the Floyd fight. A little strange Swift never got the Floyd fight as I don’t think he would have given Mayweather too many problems.
