Case in point Josh Taylor's last fight he somehow got the nod but being " weight drained " was why it was so close. He wasn't weight drained when he won all the titles but after a close call he is now. Same **** with Teo.
I get your point but there does come a point in most EVERY boxers career where they can no longer make a certain weight and are forced to move up because it DOES effect one's performance. Both Pedraza and Barrios moved up and Leo back down after thier losses to Tank....coincidence? Probably not.

Seems to be some truth to what Romero is suggesting but there's no doubt Tank is an explosive powerful puncher, just maybe not as devastating as some believe him to be. Other than Ryan and is explosive LH,Tank is probably the second hardest puncher in and around thier division.

If Rolly wins, fine. But it's better to say less and do your talking in the ring like Pacquiao & others. We remember many like Keith Thurman who made fun of Pac's short T-Rex arms. Be careful Rolly.

I agree with you here I'm just saying it's a constant excuse after that first loss or bear miss ya know. I'm certain in fighters careers there comes a point where metabolism slows and other variables come in to play that forces you to move up but like the 3 examples you gave they all had a common factor and that was eating punches from a heavy handed guy. I do think Ryan has a more devastating punch and that's probably from lightning fast shots the opponents dont see but Tank is definitely right behind him as second hardest puncher from 130 to 140

TMT must think Davis will beat Romero or they wouldn't have made the fight.

Exactly. Rollie has crude boxing fundamentals. He's awkward and wide open. They are hyping him up as some A-level opponent. That said, I feel like Tank may look for a way out of this fight. Injury? Court/legal issues? He seems especially disgruntled about having to fight Rollie. I think Rollie's trash talking is getting in his head.

Barrios was like 5’10” and weighed 152lbs.

Santa Cruz was really the only small fighter I remember Tank fighting.

Tank himself is 5’5” too. He can’t go up to 147 and be too successful.

Rolly debuted at Lightweight and can likely move all the way up to 154 eventually. He’s the big guy here fighting smaller men. Davis is fighting guys his size or bigger, on fight night. Regardless of his weight issues. His weight issues are due to discipline. He is really not a big guy.

Tank schools Rolly unless he can physically bully him. Shouldn't matter for Rolly's career too much. His personality and ruggedness probably means he'll be around for a little while. Hope he can make some decent money.
