The obvious answer is that arum promotes it not Dazn? Or is that too simple? Canelo is not tied so any promoter/broadcaster, as his fight with plant showed. All arum has to do is meet canelos guarantee . . . . .

If Top Rank wants to have a deal with EPSN meaning they will only promote fights that are shown on EPSN and this rules them out of promoting fights that aren't on ESPN, that is fine. What is not fine is them blocking those fights rather than ruling themselves out of promoting them. The idea of a fighter being tied to a promoter who is then tied to a network has to stop. The sport needs a regulation in place to make these deals illegal because they are damaging the sport.

I think it's a bit harsh to say no one watches dazn, but they're probably not that profitable.

Some like Bob Arum, some don't. I do admire his mental sharpness at his age. Boxing promotion and the events keep him sharp.

Arum is talking truth here. DAZN is on its way out. They never got “in” they overpaid to have broadcasting rights in obscure countries and have a minuscule subscription rate. They will be out of business after the next canelo fight cause no one is gonna pay 80$ for a fight to watch on their phone
