How is it any different from Cotto guaranteeing he's going to win. Does that also means Cotto is believing his own hype, the answer is no. Both fighters are just being confident which is what they have to be and need to be. Manny also stated that he's not underestimating Cotto, that shows respect and concern.

Manny looked out of shape, in the worst shape I have seen him pre fight, and unfocused a bit. They also state its going to be an 8 week camp but here we are on the 16th (the fight is the 14th) and Manny was still in the US as of last night. Couple that with the travel time and setting up everyone in camp and my guess is they start this weekend. Now fight week is usually where training is at a minimum (usually to cut the remaining weight and stay busy) and we have about 7 weeks to prep for the biggest strongest fighter Manny has faced

sounds like a recipe for disaster IMO

That's my point. Why would he say he's worried, same as why would Cotto say he's going to lose or might lose. But to say that he's believing his own hype for showing he's confident is ridiculous.

Worst shape? LOL, the guy weighs 150 pounds 2 months before the fight.

The camp is set to begin on the 20th of this month, after all of the press related obligations have been fulfilled.
