2022 is shaping up to be a great year for british boxing

what a start to the year... we saw leigh woods knockout of the year contender against conlan, jack catterall announcing himself at world level beating in the eyes of the public a p4p top 10 fighter in josh taylor, whilst josh warrington showed he has plenty left in the tank with his dominant win over kiko martinez. Lawrence Okolie solidified his status as the man to beat at cruiserweight and a potential crossover star with an impressive performance to kick off the new year. At heavyweight we have a huge domestic clash between fury and whyte to look forward to, whilst 2022 could be a breakout year for Joe Joyce, whos biggest battle will be getting someone to agree to get in the ring with him. In the glamour division of boxing, Conor Benn will be looking to make a statement by stopping van heerden.

I like Okolie but there was nothing in that performance that could be implied as an announcement of anything. It was pretty awful.

With these takes I genuinely wonder what planet some of you are living on.
