No it was his old promotional company Palle. They go to ridiculous lengths to protect a boxers record. They mananged to get Brian Neilson to 46-0 and I don't believe he was even ranked in the top 5 (mabye not in top 10). To be fair he had just lost to Calzaghe byt he had had 40 plus fights so that shoulden't be to much of a factor. Its a shame it didn't happen, that would be explosive with Mikkel getting a wide UD. Kessler has had like 2 fights since Calzaghe under Palle, they have really screwed a great talent over. Such a shame, nice to see him fighting top class opposition now though.

I would still pick Miranda to KO his ass.

That's definitely what would happen. Miranda is also 1-1 against Abraham, as anyone who saw the robbery in the first fight knows. Yet Ward dominated Miranda from the opening bell to the final bell. He and Dirrell are just in a different class.

They had a date for May 24, 2008. It was supposed to be the perfect rebound fight on showtime and Miranda had already signed off on it.

Mogens Palle is an idiot and while they agreed on it at first, pulled out of it later. Then after looking so bad that they ducked Miranda, they tried to blame it on Miranda. No one really believed them.

The fight was almost done before Palle pulled the plug on it because he reasoned that the fight wasn't for the WBA title, he said Kessler wanted to fight for the WBA title and Miranda wasn't going to get sanctioned by the WBA or something so instead of fighting Miranda they fought Sartison.
