Comments Thread For: De La Hoya Eyes Tank-Garcia Blockbuster: I'm Waiting For Al Haymon To Give Me A Call

The team surrounding Ryan Garcia hope to pick up where the unbeaten lightweight left off in more ways than one. Garcia returns to the ring for the first time in 15 months when he faces Ghana's Emmanuel Tagoe atop an April 9 DAZN show from Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The fight is the first since Garcia's off-the-canvas, seventh-round knockout of England's Luke Campbell last January 2 in Dallas.

De La Hoya better getting money for this fight because Tank will shut the hype train Garcia has down. Tank WILL land his big shots and when he hits Garcia he wont give him any breathing room like Luke Campbell did. Tank has shown a killer chin on him so I give Tank the way bigger edge in that fight. I would LOVE to see it.

Garcia still has Rolly and Haney problems first.

Tank is fighting Rolly and Ryan is fight Tagoe. Haney is fighting Kambosos for undisputed. Ryan and Tank both are heavily favored in their fight and Haney has zero to do with either guy considering he has rematch clauses to deal with if he wins undisputed.

His constant pressure coupled with devastating power punches will be a nightmare for Garcia. Tank has also shown that he can dig deep when he has to. He showed it against Barrios and Pedraza. I believe that he has the best shot at becoming undisputed in the lightweight division.

I think he can not only become undisputed at lightweight but defend it in some great match ups. He can probably be a big player at 140 if he applies himself and lives the lifestyle it takes to be great.

I definitely agree. He can conquer the 140 lb. division if he can stay dedicated to his craft. Tank is too talented to not be fighting the best. His style also helps put asses into seats.

Every time you hear a promoter say they are waiting for a call... its code for the fight is not happening and I just want to put the blame one someone else.

But only if DAZN can be involved too, cause it's fair that way. They've put effort into building CRyan and it just wouldn't be fair if they aren't invited to the party too and if the other side won't agree then it'll be ALL their fault and there can be no fight
Isn't that what happened a few weeks ago anyway?
