That’s cool. I have been an Amazon Prime member since it started, I think in 2012. I had been shopping from Amazon since like 2008. It’s about time. And the those are two decent fights too GGG-Murata and Inoue-Donaire. Not a bad start at all. It will also expose Japanese boxers to the American boxing fanbase more. Because it seems that it’s a Japanese boxing thing rather than just any boxers.

Amazon getting into boxing is a good thing, they have unlimited money and can fund the big fights. That’s cool. I have been an Amazon Prime member since it started, I think in 2012. Prime is already well worth the money, and boxing would be an added bonus.

HBO withdrew from boxing because it couldn’t keep up with the salary demands of non-draw boxers. Everyone was leaving to PBC and HBO didn’t find Canelo, GGG and Roman Gonzalez worthy enough to stay with boxing.
Exclusive deals killed HBO: TR left, to sign with ESPN+, Matchroom signed with DAZN, PBC signed with FOX. Everyone left HBO. HBO had nothing but GBP fighters including Canelo. They also had GGG and Choco, and a frw other fighters. But that wasn’t enough.
HBO lost out because these streaming service’s business model allowed for fighters to get paid better. Fighters migrated. HBO could’ve just adjust to the changes and stream boxing as part of an exclusive streaming service that also comes with exclusive tv shows. Instead they quit boxing due to “declining numbers” and budget cuts.
HBO Max is great btw. It’s very worth it because of their selection. They also get some movies that are still in theaters. I think The Batman is coming soon.Comment

You’re cool with having yet another platform showing boxing?
As a hardcore boxing fan in UK you would need BT, DAZN, Sky Sports and now Prime too.
No thanks.
