If he beats Kambosos, I don't want to hear anyone on here giving him a pass if he ducks the rematch clause with some shenanigans.
Nothing wrong if he ditches that rematch clause because he shouldn't have to jump through hoops for his shot.

Jump through hoops? Kambosos first title defense will be against Haney, how is he jumping through hoops? Haney priced himself out of other big fights. If he ducks the rematch clause he is a fraud. Same way you guys were all crying when you thought Fury was going to duck the rematch clause with Wilder who he KTFO.

Blue - Nope because if he is able to duck the rematch, it is because he won the first fight.

He is the number one mandatory. He should have had his shot before Leo fought Loma.

Nope, if he ducks the rematch clause it's a duck. No way around that. Same way you all cried when you thought Fury wouldn't honor the rematch clause for Wilder.

He priced himself out of a potential Loma and Teo fight. That's on him.

            Blue - I didn't.

Red - How did he end up with the belt then?

It would have gone to a purse bid and the organization would have determined the split and then he would have walked away and would not have gotten the belt. That wasn't the case. So he didn't price himself out.

Haney admits he lied about offers. He is not to be trusted or taken seriously.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16r_n8tISsI And the truth comes out!!! As it always does ... because what tangled webs we weave when first we practice to deceive. Right? Haney, in a low-key interview, said, "We haven't gotten any REAL offer." The context is about the potential fight with Kambosos, and Haney is

Teofimo Lopez Sr predicts that WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney will duck a fight against undisputed 135-lb champion Teofimo (16-0, 12 KOs) when he turns his attention to him after his title defense against George Kambosos Jr.

Haney’s decision to defend his WBC title against 35-year-old Jorge Linares, who Teofimo Sr views as the “weakest link” among the top lightweights, is a move to try and make himself “look good.”

In other words, Teofimo Sr views Haney’s decision to face “old man” Linares as him cherry-picking a safe opponent.

Teofimo Sr, the coach, and dad of IBF/WBA/WBC/WBO 135-lb champion Teofimo Lopez, believes that Haney (25-0, 15 KOs) is “SCARED” of his son, and that’ll “Outprice” himself when it comes to negotiating the fight.

That's Lopez Sr words and as we came to see, he and his boy are delusional. So why do you trust his words?

If he didn't provide figures for us to judge, take Sr with a grain of salt.

                So what else you got?

Haney wasn't in any hurry to fight Teo.

I just showed you a link where he admits he lied about an offer. He also lied when he said Lomachenko was sent an offer. He chose Linares instead.

He is fighting Kambosos now, so that's not relevant. Loma avoided him. Haney should have had his shot, then. Now look at the hoops he had to go through to get his shot.

Fight twice in Australia and if he makes it through, he got fight Loma. All that just to get your deserved shot. Loco!

If Haney manages to win the first fight, I won't be surprised if he moves up immediately to 140 because I bet he's having trouble making weight. Haney should learn from Teo's mistake and leave 135 on a high note.
