If Cotto wins, it will be the furthest thing from close and it will just prove Pac isn't a real WW so why fight one again?......Floyd will retire probably if he loses, his ego is massive I don't know if he could psychologically handle not being the best.
You also have to consider the business aspect of it. If both fights turn out to be boring or won too onesidedly then there would be no rematch. You have to sell what the ppl want to buy and unless fights are extremely entertaining ppl don't want rematches.
