  • Comments Thread For: Nakathila: Shakur Was Scared; He Was Just Running And Running; He Perceived Danger

Jeremiah Nakathila isn't pleased with how he performed the night he fought Shakur Stevenson. The hard-hitting Namibian contender could've done so many things differently. By aimlessly following Stevenson around the ring and failing to cut it off, Nakathila made it easier for a defensive-minded Stevenson to carefully out-box him throughout their 12-round, 130-pound WBO interim title fight.

You can always tell which fighters will improve from a loss by their post fight comments.

He ran = Won't be going back to the drawing board and looking too improve.

Always some unskilled meathead talking about someone "running" because they couldn't land on them for twelve rounds.

I guess this is how unskilled fighters keep their fans. When did it become the opponents job to allow you to do your job. Learn how to cut the ring off and throwb1200 punches if he's "running". If not, be prepared to get shut out by a much better fighter.

In case people here actually thought that a good display of boxing, just know that Stevenson himself apologized to his fans for the way he fought that night. It was a terrible fight by both, stop with the bull**** that it some master display.

Right. Even on here most of us thought he had a mediocre showing for his standard. Then the next fight he fights more aggressively and beats down Herring. He clearly could've been more aggressive in spots without being reckless but he was content.
