Yeah, I'm ok if fighters mix in a soft touch when they mostly give us Bivol and Golovkin level fights.

Dudes like Jermall Charlo do the complete opposite. They'll fight Suleckis and Montiels and then occasionally throw in a Derevyanchenko.

Well I’m not cool with trash fights regardless of who is having them or who else they’ve fought. I’m also not in agreement with the narrative that canelo has been facing some sort of murderers row or has been in some grueling tough battles. He’s been in fights that have looked like sparring sessions since the ggg rematch 4 yrs ago.

No other active fighter in the sport has a better resume.

If unifying 168 (and possibly trying for unification at 175) was so easy then some of these other guys should have jumped at the opportunity.

he unified against mediocre champs at 168 and there’s nothing indicating he’s trying to unify with Beterbiev. At least not until Beterbiev gets older and or looks like trash in a fight. In the meantime, stop giving him credit for an imaginary unification. While I agree these other guys should be making better fights, don’t act like you’re not aware that they don’t have the same ability to make whatever fight they want the way Canelo does. He can pick and choose who he wants to fight and we’ve clearly seen who he doesn’t want to fight.

            Wrong.

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez 'expressed interest' in a fight with Artur Beterbiev, says Bob Arum: ‘He’s a risk-taker!’
Some will say Beterbiev is too big and powerful. Others will say Canelo is special and can handle everybody, Bob Arum says the Russian could collide with the Mexican star if he defeats Marcus Browne on Sky Sports

So Arum (not Canelo) saying Canelo has expressed interest in facing beterbiev (in December of last year) for an upcoming Mexican holiday in 2022, and then canelo signing a 3 fight deal within 2 months of that (which doesn’t include a fight with beterbiev) leads you to believe that Canelo genuinely wants to fight beterbiev? Lmaooo. Are you really not sharp enough to understand what happened there? Canelo fans are so gullible it’s almost sad.

Neither Charlo nor Benavidez nor Beterbiev would be a soft touch. What they need to earn is a major Canelo fight, not one of his stay-busy/active recovery bouts. It's very simple to understand.

The hypocrisy and gymnastics amazing. So Benavidez needs to earn his fight by beating better fighters, but the likes of Ryder and Richards have earned the fight for simply being crap. Canelo nut huggers are the worst.

The fans want to see other guys

I like Buatsi as a talent but he would have time for another fight after Richards if anything; he stalled out and that was before the shutdowns. He's barely getting traction again - let me see beating Richards "better" than Bivol and another one after that. And even then it's nobody's first or second choice. either way, I hope we see more of what he has starting now

To demand that Canelo fight 3 best-in-class fighters in a row, while in the same breath crying that Benavidez shouldn't have to do anything to earn a fight, is moronic.

                    You realize that, right?

You said there is nothing indicating he is trying to unify with Beterbiev. That was obviously incorrect.
