I understand some of the criticism towards Golden Boy, and Charlo is the champ, but is it so bad to ask to be a part of the promotion?

Are Showtime a bit worried that Charlo might lose once he steps up a bit more, or are they greedy? Not sure.

Dazn didn’t want to or ask to be part of promotion…. Oscar made it a issue when didn’t need to which stopped fight from happening in the 11th hour when everything was agreed to

Oscar has lost some respect from me over this. Dazn, according to reports, was never interested in a supposed joint PPV promotion that they would have obviously lost money over. Neither fighter is a PPV fighter. Charlo had the bigger name and is the champion, Munguia hasn’t been in the real public sports fan eye since leaving network/cable boxing. Oscar simply doesn’t want one of his biggest stars to fight on pbc….it’s really that simple. Now whether dazn simply told him not to do this and he’s finding a way to blame it on dazn and hence the story dazn isn’t co-signing is up in the air….

I deffo think it’s a ridiculous request from Oscar, Especially if Espinoza saying they’re was paying for it like people have mentioned. I just think it’s wrong how people have different standards for different people. Some don’t want to be a man of their word anymore or be fair and consistent.

Sucks for boxing fans but that’s where boxing is at. Everyone trying to freeze each other out, **** some fighters even have trouble fighting in house guys. All of you commenting are ****ing ******! Why would Golden Boy agree to such terms of PBC we all know Munguia can sell out headlining hence vs Rosado can Charlo sell out an arena? Can he sell without a Mex undercard? Or a Mex dance partner? I mean to make it look full wt his events they do a small portion of an arena to make it look “full” they do that half arena sitting, why would GB agree to the PBC’s bs cause they are forking the bill? Who cares! Cause the PBC will pay for fight yet golden boy will spend marketing promotion dollars for their fighter to help pbc? Yet their fight alone selling the event?
