    Top 5 Mexican fighters ever!

    1- Canelo Alvarez

    2- Ruben Olivares
    3- Julio Cesar Chavez
    4- Salvador Sanchez
    5- Vicente Salvidar

Canelo is light years ahead of others. But, next four fighters are hard to rank clearly. Marquez and Zarate can be replaced with Salvidar.

Interesting and very cool to note that we are currently witnessing the career of probably a consensus top five all-time Mexican fighter in Canelo Alvarez. I remember when the kid started. Few would have believed it. Yet, here we are.

Good point tbh man. You could always see he was super talented but I’d have never believed the kid who got schooled by Mayweather and struggled with Lara would one day be in the same conversation as guys like Chavez, Sanchez, Olivares etc.

Canelo’s a tremendously hard worker. To improve as he has, to get to his level, you have to be. You don’t gotta like the guy, but you’re a hater if you don’t recognize. I was never a Mayweather fan, but his work ethic was second to none. Alvarez is right up there.

                  - - Top 3 would be 1a Canelo, 1b JC, 3 Sal only because he had to stop fighting age 23 when he tragically passed.

No Mexican fighter ever started his career as strong as Sal and he was better and more accomplished age 23 than the flash of SRLeonard and still finished up with a better record to boot. Ya could look it up.

Prob Olivera and Barrera next then start rolling dice for the rest.
