Comments Thread For: Gausha Confident: Tim Tszyu is One-Trick Pony, What You See is What You Get

U.S. Olympian and super welterweight contender Terrell Gausha is confident that he'll be spoiling the stateside debut of unbeaten rising star Tim Tszyu when they square off on Saturday, March 26 live on Showtime headlining a Premier Boxing Champions event from The Armory in Minneapolis.

Gausha is a very live opponent for Tszyu. He's skilled and has some pop but sometimes just fights in one gear. His career never seemed to take off despite being an Olympian then he was matched with Lara and lost that. In his loss to Lubin he fought way too passive even tho he hurt Lubin badly in that one.

Tim is going to have to be careful and apply smart pressure in this one. Good fight.

I think Gausha has the tools to win by UD. But the dude fights like how my guy Spence talks. One speed and slow.

If he can somehow be more aggressive and set his traps…he can earn the respect of Tim. I think Tim will try and prove something in his first fight in the US. Gausha can use that against him. Just depends on his state of mind.

“We’ve been working on some different things for this fight,” said Gausha.

Hopefully, those "things" includes throwing more punches. A LOT more punches. Otherwise, same 'ol Gausha.

If Gausha takes it very serious he has a great chance although he is starting to get on in years around 35 and he hasn't fought much the last few years, I think Tim is overrated but they chose Gausha who has some ability and could prove to be a Vince Phillips to his father type bogeyman, especially if Terrel prepares himself and really comes to win.

I agree with you except I think Gausha took this fight 4 weeks or less notice. We will see. He has the experience to not get stopped. That much we know.

Oh really, hmmm well that limits his chances to landing a big one early.

Gausha is the perfect opponent for us to see what Tszyu is all about! Props to Tszyu for accepting the challenge!
