not that bold of pick--i had the same hunch but never made a thread

bivol boxes and moves great and doesn't really take many risks to be hit hard..even when he has his opponent hurt

You called it. Props. I thought Bivol was too basic. Turns out I just overestimated Canelo. Fighting all that mediocre trash and those stiff Eurobums made Canelo look better than he is.

          Good prediction ma man

          Canelo had no answers

Bivols tight guard aswell as solid fundamentals neutralised Canelos power. Bivol was well balanced and kept his chin tucked in tight and low and absorbed some big shots

Canelo is not like Floyd who is able to counter fighters when they either throw single shots or counter them mid combo with a slick shot and roll out to safety

Canelo does not have that timing. Combo punching troubles Canelo. And a fighter that does not fall for Canelos trap setting when against the ropes also troubles him.

Above all, a fighter that is durable and built well who can take shots will diffuse Canelo

I scored it as a wide UD for Bivol. From the 2nd or 3rd round when Bivol began firing right back at Canelo it was apparent that Canelo is in trouble.

Canelo is a great fighter and i think he will definitely improve from this loss and become a better fighter.

Bivol just had the style ti give Canelo problems. It was a good strategy

It happened exactly like I thought. I also blame the strategy, which I knew would be like the Kovalev fight. Cane should have BOXED like he did in the first GGG fight, he should have picked his shots and also used good defense and head movement to diffuse Bivols offense and made him think. Camelot just coming forward trying to land bombs made him target practice and he was outboxed. Another thing, Bivols punches look like pity pat punches but EVERY fighter has commented on his power. I imagine his jab has the same effects that Errol Spence’s jab has even though it may not look like it to us viewers.

That's a very good comparison. Could even add Usyk to that comparison with them
