    Is Joe Frazier ATG debatable?

Dont get me wrong but problem with boxing is if you put TOUGH fight vs someone great and you beat him then that great beat you in rematch in TOUGH fight=you are ATG and that great has beaten ATG boxing fans simple dont love dominantion.
Roy once said, "They said I fought nobodies, I just made them look like nobodies". If Ali had dominated Frazier in The Fight of The Century in 1970, we wouldn't be talking about him right now. He would be the equivalent of Gery Cooney on Holmes' resume, a Mega Event opponent who was outmatched and forgotten.

beside Ali Frazier resume is nothing special Foster is unranked at HW Frazier went life death with Bonavena he beat some LHWS but his resume is not better than someone Like Fury.

his skills: he was one of the best inside fighters but so one dimensional just lefthook and that is 0 footwork he thrown 0 combinations.

Rid**** Bowe have some arguments to rate higher than him.

his KO rate vs 215+lbs opponents is 47%

fact is without Ali win he wouldn't be that great he is mytholized because he beat Ali Ali clearly make his opponents better than they are actually a Journeyman Spinks Spinks is hyped like some mytholized god by boxing experts if someone like Pinklon Thomas defeated Tyson in TOUGH match and then Tyson defeated him in TOUGH match im sure he would be consider ALL TIME GREAT

You have to rate Joe Frazier within his time. During the passage of time, people can discredit anything.

Was the Lancaster bomber b2 really a great plane? Because listen guys we have super sonic planes these days, and planes that can fly so high 'They are nearly within the ranges of the upper atmosphere'.

Joe Frazier was a great fighter, and has one of the best wins in heavyweight history 'That is all there is to it'.

His skills were evident, he was a master at his style. All these fighters you mention on his record, were to top fighters of that time.

A fighter can only face and compete against the fighters that were around.

It is a easy thing to do, to discredit people, places, things from the past. It is very easy to put out there, and dupe people who can only perceive right now.

Tyson Fury has no win, which is comparable to Joe Frazier's win over Muhammad Ali.

Kiltschko was at the end of his career, and Wilder apart from his power and extreme game attitude 'Does not really have elite level skills'.

But Kiltschko & Wilder are still awesome wins.

We've seen in recent years that guys from the olden days would not do well today. And you are right, Frazier's resume is very poor outside of Ali. I guess he caught Ali on an off night. Maybe Ali was ****ing Asian hoes like Tyson. But in recent years we have seen Chisora, a rich man's Frazier, and Kevin Johnson, a rich man's Larry Holmes, not come close to winning world titles. Nash out.

Complete and utter nonsense. You have seen nothing.

You cannot say for definitive that certain fighters from the past would not excel in today's era.

If scientist were to go back in time, and transport Joe Frazier of the 70's to the future ? Is he just staying the same? Is he not utilizing the sport science and information that is about today? Fighters are going to adapt and evolve their game.

But I am not one of these people who thinks fighters have evolved to be better 100%. Even with all the technology and enhanced sports supplements, all of those fighters you have just mentioned are out of condition. Fury, Chisora and Johnson.

I have brought these points up before in mythical match up threads. The actual last mythical match up thread, I declared as the last type of thread I would involve myself in. Because the responses are unoriginal, repetitive and banal.

Even this thread is kind of a spin off on those type of threads. Nothing personal against the thread starter, carry on and all the best.

I am done with this thread.
