Shut up and fight. Castano whooped his ass in the first fight anyway.

Wanting to shut up and fight and not being able to is the exact reason why he’s upset.

Looks like the injury is genuine, I can understand Charlo being frustrated, however he may need to do some family PR work!

I was going to say what is the point? Castano is not some cash cow who can afford to mess up fights vs bigger names than him. Why would he fake an injury and slow down his own career.

But then Charlo made a good point, in that he thinks Castano is struggling to make weight. Which, let’s face it, latino boxers are notorious for missing weight. And I am latino, but it’s the truth. And some miss weight by a lot, and not even try to shed it anymore because trying to get down to the scheduled weight would weight-drain them. So what is your choice, be weight drained and lose the big fight? Or come in at a more comfortable weight, pay a penalty, not fight for the title, but you win?

So many fights in the past decade had dudes missing weight basically on purpose. Look at Lomachenko, the guy fought a literal welterweight in Salido. And Lomachenko still could have gotten the nod.

Look at Andres Gutierrez in 2019, missing weight by 11lbs.

                  It’s ridiculous.

However, this is a damn if you, damn you don’t situation for Castano IF Charlo’s accusations are correct. Because if you miss weight, people will say “If you were struggling so bad why not speak up and say it or fake injury to buy more time?” Or, if pushes back the fight in order to come in at the agreed upon weight, he looks bad because he pushed the fight.

So, personally, I rather Charlo vs Castano be a fight where they both make weight and there is no pre-fight controversy about how Castano shouldn’t get credit for a Win because he missed weight.

I'll lay money that Charlo has no clue what a Zapruder film debunker is, let alone that he sounds like one. That has to be one of the worst article opening sentences for quite a while.
