LOS ANGELES - Vergil Ortiz Jr. will next face Michael McKinson on March 19 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. Should the hard-hitting Ortiz (18-0, 18 KOs) maintain his unblemished record, he has his sights set on an all-Lone Star State showdown against unified welterweight champion Errol Spence.

In two years time, I have no doubt they would be able to pack out the AT&T stadium. This will be a massive fight when it takes place and there are good storylines with both training at the same gym at one point.

He needs to beat a gatekeeper first. One more good win and this can be a good fight to wrap up 2022. Still rather see Spence/Crawford, but this would be a close second.

Hasn't faced anybody with a pulse but now he "wants" Spence. He just wants the money or maybe they asked him the question and he just answered it. This is how he get "big fights" but Fighter B hasn't fought anybody and they show up and **** the bed.

I'm only saying this because he's been a bit hesitant to call out Bud and Spence and you can tell GBP is just happy matching him with whomever just to bring in some easy dough.

That’s cute, you must be new. The only good win on Spence’s record is a broken Brook. Mean machine is better than anyone on Spence’s record. Casual

In Texas they do, and they know Spence there too.

Car accident. Wars with Porter and Kell Brook. Another tough fight with Ugas. Ortiz beats him on attrition and takes all the titles in one swoop.

This would be a good and interesting fight though if Spence gets past Ugas and doesn't decide to fight Crawford or move up to 154.
