  • Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia Tired, Fed Up With Canelo's 'Shocking' Criticism: 'We'll Probably Be Cool Later On'

LOS ANGELES - One day after Canelo Alvarez threw yet another jab at Ryan Garcia and questioned his discipline and work ethic - which caused his former stablemate to fire back on Twitter to defend himself - Garcia was front and center in front of reporters at Golden Boy Promotions headquarters to ramp up promotion for his April 9 fight against Emmanuel Tagoe in San Antonio.

Wow, the way this guy talks, you can tell he isn't very bright. He's too full of himself, and has become very easy to dislike.

Garcia hasn't recovered from being Campbell'd. Still feeling the effects of that massive knockdown. Nash out.

I used to think that too but tying himself to some imaginary riff with Canelo is brilliant. As usual, he getting a ton of publicity without having to fight anyone let alone a quality opponent.

“I kind of addressed it on twitter”..just like a broad ..I guess the days of talking about it like a man to his face and address it that way if there is a problem is too far fetched ..

Canelo's calling it like it is and I think that's great. I'm not the biggest Canelo fan, but he's earned my respect. Canelo's work ethic and drive has earned him the right to call folks out on their bluff. Garcia wants to say that we'll see his work ethic on April 9th? Of course we are because he's fighting a guy that's there to lose and be a nice return fight.

He comes off as entitled and a bit delusional. Not just these quotes but pretty much every interview. I say that as someone who doesn't want to dislike him.

                    what "shocking criticism"

canelo said the truth, nothing that we already didnt know, garcia is just butthurt canelo told him the truth and didnt kiss hiss ass like the logan brothers and all his social media friends do.

When canelo was 23, garcia's age he already fought mosley, trout (immediately after his upset win over cotto) and mayweather. He fought mosley on a mayweather undercard. He had 43 fights already at that age and its not just because he started at 16. In his early 20s he fought 4 times each in 2010 and 2011 when he was building up his career, getting whatever name he could, if its kermit cintron, if its hatton or cottos brothers, ect.

Canelo told garcia if he wants to be a top boxer, he has to actually, box, and make fights, and fight the best. what is so shocking about that. Hes afraid to fight the best in his own division like haney, loma, tank ect.
