I'm not saying he's done anything at 135. I was going off of the narrative that if he was actually serious in fighting Vergil.

There are way too many lightweights, and way too many welterweights out here for them to be talking about fighting each other.

If it were to come off....would only be a Inside money grab for Golden Boy.

There are plenty of 135lb'ers out here for Garcia....and highly ranked welterweight (non PBC) Boots Ennis is begging for a fight. I'm sure he would fight Ortiz if the fight was offered.

I'm just saying these guys have options that don't involve the PBC and fighting each other.

Yes...let's talk about a fight that will happen no earlier than 2030, at a catchweight when both are past their primes AND IF they still happen to be signed to the same promotional company. Ortiz's resume is still much better than Garcia's so there is quite a bit of catching up to do to make it a clearly competitive fight. I need Garcia to give me at least ONE definitive career fight and stay injury free.

How can he be serious in fighting Vergil when he hasn’t fought any of the top guys at 135?

Translation: "If Ortiz ever looks beatable, we'll make that fight."
