Comments Thread For: Arum Makes Fury-White PPV Predictions: 300K in the US, 1 Million in the UK

Bob Arum isn't necessarily expecting a blockbuster at the American box office for the upcoming heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte, though he insists there is a good reason for that.

My question is if it does do 90,000 at Wembley who gets the credit for drawing power? Fury that is a self proclaimed American fighter or Whyte that's a regular fighter over there?

Hopefully but I doubt either, Bob has a horrible habit of over estimating these things.

Arum and Warren have literally lost their minds.

Warren just now on the presser stated that this is the biggest boxing purse on British soil...that east end midget has lost his marbles LOL

Oh and Whyte didn't even turn up...seems like either the money isn't real or the fight isn't happening.

Whyte said he isn't turning up to anything except the final presser. Reason being that they didn't agree to his demand of a cut of the PPV buys. Nash out.

Fury. You can get free tickets on the day whenever Whyte fights at the O2 or Manchester Arena. He’s nowhere near as big a draw as Fury or AJ. Chisora is a bigger draw than Whyte tbh.

If this Ends up being a financial success, I hope people who encourage Whyte no shows at pressers and promotional tours, have the decency to admit how wrong they were and concede that Fury did it on his own. Wonder what the odds are of them doing that?

3 months ago Dillian Whyte was a megastar that deserved tens of millions, but now "Fans" hope he begs fans not to buy and watch him fight for a world title. Its the most bizarre thing I've read all year so far!

Despite his toxic and Fake fanbase, I must credit Dillian to an extent because if he loses this fight in a horrible beating or a shocking KO, he loses most of his credibility, he won't be trusted by TV Networks and large promotional companies. He won't get a Voluntary title shot from anybody, public will think he's a spoiled child and his whole marketing angle and fanbase will come to an end.

Whyte is seriously betting on himself. He's backed himself into a corner so let's see how he fights out of it. Similar to Ngannou & UFC , Except people were on Francis side more than people are on whyte now.

It is the biggest purse on UK soil.

Whyte isn’t getting any upside so he’s refusing to promote the fight. That’s petty but it’s fair enough.
