This is the 21st century which is a technological strategic wars , you can only invade the U.S if you have a bigger army or enough Allie’s . Russia and China have no chance invading us head on . Now we have Germany who Russia was counting on . They’ve lost the plot , only way we lose being a super power is long distance attacks and or even a bio chemical one or some crazy cyber viruses destabilize our economy. Those are all unlikely as the majority of the world’s countries are United with us and without us the Russians would be unstoppable.
It's not gonna happen in the next 5-10 years, but within the next 20 they are gonna be a real problem, and because of American corporate greed will overtake you as the number 1 power int he world with no fighting taking place.Comment

Extra tough for Usyk as a native Crimean - dude's always been very careful about how he speaks on Russian / Ukrainian relations... On the one hand clearly passionate about his Ukrainian cultural identity (as evidenced by the iconic 'chub' haircut he sported at the olympics) but also outspoken on his beliefs in slavic unity and has in the past spoken about the dangers of the extreme Nationalist elements in Ukraine.
Whatever though, nothing but respect for Usyk for standing with his countrymen in their hour of need.

Join the Soviet Union? Huh? You must be looking at old maps and reading old newspapers. The Soviet Union collapsed more than 30 years ago. You do know how to read...right?Comment

Not sure if you're being serious or not.
The truth is, they're there to do a job, but that job isn't taking up arms. It's to appear in photos and convince the nation to take up arms.
Celebrities don't fight in wars. Putting one guy into war would be a complete waste considering the impact they can have.Comment

All who rightly admire Usyk, Lomachenko, Postol and others for returning to Ukraine to fight the invaders, do what you can to help as well. If you can make contributions to the Ukrainian war effort or to charities assisting Ukrainian civilians, please do so. If you are in a position to do so, write to your political representatives to urge them to advocate for your government to send more assistance to Ukraine and further sanction Russia.
I'm planning to petition the WBA,WBC, IBF and IBO to bar Russian fighters from their rankings and ban them from competing for their titles. Perhaps for AIBA and The Ring as well. It'd be a small thing but a meaningful gesture for the boxing fraternity to make. I'd encourage everyone else on here to consider doing the same.Comment
