    Jermain's Defense

Hi guys, first post here, although I do participate in many other boxing forums. I'm here to not be disrespectful, but also to offer my suggestions.

Me being from Arkansas, it's no surprise that I'm slightly partial to Taylor. I saw Kessler and Ward this weekend and they both looked sharp. My question is: Does anybody think Jermain has a legitimate chance of winning the tournament? I know he tends to have bad defense and to move back in straight lines, leaving himself vulnerable in the corner. He does have heavy hands and a great jab.

Can he do it? Please give your opinions. Thanks!

If he improves his stamina he has a chance...

He doesn't fire that jab as much as he should either...

When he was with Pat Burns his jab was very good...

He's the least likely fighter to win the tournament. Experience doesn't mean much for him. He's too flawed.

i think he has the physical ability to win... i don't think he's as hungry as the others are. he's gonna come in his next fight winning the first coupleof rounds and then fading as a result of "not wanting it as much as the other guy". that's how i see it...
i do think he can beat Arthur Abraham. I don't think he will beat him tho

Taylor has a good chance to win, but I never truly thought he was or is a natural boxer, he always seems to mechanical in the ring, his movements just dont look smooth for a fighter who has been fighting as long as he has, he also wait to long and just kinda admires his work, He has 1 hell of a right hand, sneaky uppercut and a good jab, he just needs to use it a little more.

Jermain won't win but he'll be better than expected.
