Prior service U.S. Marine Jamel Herring volunteered for service in the USMC and served two tours (combat deployments) in OIF, including time in Fallujah. British Army Soldier and one of the greatest British fighters ever Nigel Benn also served and deployed to Ulster during the Troubles. Namibian boxer Sakaria Lukas is a Marine for his country as well. Much respect to these Ukrainian fighters for digging into n and refusing to flee. Russian may…MAY…end up taking major cities in Ukraine especially with more manpower from Byleorussia but they would never be able to hold the country. The Ukrainians will bleed the occupying Russians through insurgency. All this talk of threatening Finland and Sweden really looks foolish now too. If the Russians can’t defeat the Ukrainians they certainly can’t defeat those nations either especially at the same time. The Finns especially have a pretty good record (especially in WWII) of piling up the bodies of Russian soldiers. And the Swedes make excellent weapons…the Gustav, the Bofors, on and on. The Russians under ***** are what they appear to be…bullies. And bullies have no heart

Hate to break it you, but racism was invented by 17th European imperialists who weren’t anything other than white. And is still being maintained by global systems of economic and military inequality and racist domestic policy.

Yo, this all may be true, but I think it’s be good for everyone to remember that these Russian soldiers, as with soldiers round the world, are mostly economically poor kids from harsh backgrounds and limited options to actually make a living. A bit like the boxers we all love (and hate). I’ve also heard (perhaps mistakenly) that Russia have been conscripting fairly heavily, too.

Not saying this justifies war; Some Russian military personnel will be total ****s, and some probably have a hard on for nationalist politics, but really don’t wanna see anyone else getting blown away here. Hoping they sort this out without further loss, naturally.
