Lol, don't take offense to it.
Nothing against the UK in general but 'typical" isn't a bad thing.
What is a "typical" Mexican boxer for example?
A boxer who comes forward, gets into exchanges, takes a lot of damage.
So don't get so fussed over me saying "typical UK boxer".
There's nothing special about Taylor. Nothing. He's no different than Brook, AJ, Khan, et al.
He's no Calzaghe, no Froch, no Fury.
Nothing wrong with that. But he's not all that, relatively speaking.

Rounds 1-4: where we discover Catterall is sneaky, Taylor looked like he was surprised by this and forgot what to do and the ref completely loses control
Rounds 5-10: Catterall continues going into his bag of tricks, Taylor thinks he's going to get points for footwork and missing punches and the ref is now acting like a substitute teacher.
Rounds 11-12 and Scoring: Catterall continues the same game plan, Taylor looks for a participation award, the ref also wants a participation award, Catterall wins the fight and the judges once again show why boxing will never gets it's act together

Taylor has become overconfident. He lost that fight. He knows it. Home cooking feeds the host 9 out of 10 times. Top rank feeds their boys always.
BTW- in the states, what do ********es and Arum differ in? NOTHING!

If anything, one suspects that the habit has not been entirely kicked. Taylor's focus and precision were entirely missing last night. If alcohol is really starting to creep inside Taylor's life, then his fall has just begun.

I'm curious to see how consistent people's opinions on fighters are....
For those of you who complained about Okolie's excessive holding in his fight with the Polish guy, are you people as disgusted with Catterall's holding tactics in his fight against Taylor? Seems like not many people are bothered by the constant holding that Catterall did.Tag, You're Hit likes this.

Taylor: 9 10 9 9 9 10 10 8 10 10 9 10: 113
Catterall: 10 9 10 10 10 9 9 10 9 8 9 9: 112

Sloppy is a great description of that fight. There weren't many clear rounds overall. I felt Taylor pressed the action and landed more shots on the inside, so he got my nod in many of the closest rounds. And, to be clear, I'm not a fan of Taylor per se. I don't dislike him and I appreciate his skills (prior to this fight, anyway). But I'm certainly not a homer. All that being said, here's how I scored it:
Taylor: 9 10 9 9 9 10 10 8 10 10 9 10: 113
Catterall: 10 9 10 10 10 9 9 10 9 8 9 9: 112
