It really does considering their initial promise, even when they doubled the price I didn't complain. Now they force new people to not only buy the fight but a month subscription as well. The hope there is that some people forget and they squeeze another month out of them. That undercard better be stacked if they want to make money, because as it stands I don't plan on purchasing.

Exactly. DAZN & PBC had good ideas in theory, it’s just not financially sustainable anymore. None these companies are just gonna keep losing money. & as far as DAZN idk how they’ve been able to last this long without PPV. Guys like Canelo, AJ, etc. purses are so high, there’s no way to recoup that money without PPV
PPV won’t die because people will always still buy them. If they lost money on PPVs they wouldn’t do them.
give it about 5 years or so $100 PPVs will be the norm & people will still pay.Comment

That’s been pretty the trend as of late, look at what PBC has been doing with PPV, Ruiz-Arreola, Ortiz-Martin, Tank-IssacCruz, Tank-Rolly (initially) Charlo-Rosado, Thurman-Barrios, Tank-Barrios. And all those fights did terrible numbers. If that’s not stopping them, I don’t see what will stop anyone else from following suitLast edited by Bronx23; 02-25-2022, 08:42 PM.Comment

Tbh I don’t blame them for charging though. At the end of the day that’s the cost of doing business with someone like canelo. It was the very reason we weren’t getting Floyd on PBC. What’s funny is that a lot of outlets tried free boxing and while I enjoyed it you’re too niche of a sport and too many people hated on the free fights regardless of the quality because they’re fans of promoters over the fighters.Comment
