cotto is an intelligent pressure fighter. pac does not have the style,strength, to set a pace that would tire him like margarito and clottey did.

pac is an in and out fighter. he dashes in with his speed and gets out. the only fighters that were able to set a pace that cotto could not keep up with is margarito and clottey. mosely could have had more success if he would have realized sooner that cotto was the better boxer between the two.

Against cotto, pac will not have the overwhelming advantage in power that he is used to when fighting fighters his own size.

simply put physical tools will not be enough to carry him through his match against cotto.

I dont know how you could question cotto chin. He took shots from 160lb margarito and 170 clottey. There punches might not travel with the same velocity as pac but they get there with plenty of force.

You have good valid points and I dont mean to sound like I'm being biased but Cotto is just not going to be able to handle the speed. I think part of Pacs power is the fact that his opponents do not see his punch coming and what hurts you most are the punches you cannot see.

Pacmans in and out pressure will make it difficult for Cotto to connect to the body. I the drop to 145 will make a bit of a difference too. I really think Cottos confidence has been affected thanks to Margarito. This will also be a factor. I just dont see him taking alot of left hands and still standing.

Shane Mosley and Miguel Cotto are fighters, they are very good fighters. Manny Pacquiao loves to fight, he fights better when he is put up against another fighter, Therefore, both fights won't be as tough as people think.

Mayweather is a boxer, Team Pacquiao/Freddie Roach don't like to put Manny against boxers-types. Floyd Mayweather would be Manny Pacquiao toughest fight because he will box Manny Pacquiao, not fight him.

Not saying Pacman would have a easy time with Mosley, just that Mosley is a fighter and he will come to fight Manny which Manny would love for him to do.

Well I havent been able to stop thinking bout this fight cuz is so exciting , and i was discussing it with some co-workers , and at first i thought manny had it in the sack , but i have changed my mind , i dont know who's taking it but , think about this , cotto in his career for the most part has always fought against faster guys , zab, corley , mosley , tszyu ( i think was a lil quicker) , clottey , maliggnagi , sosa , pinto, bailey , and he neutralized the hand speed very easily , at times it looked like he had superior , and i know what ur going to say , their speed doesnt compare to paquiao , but knowing for a fact that cotto knows thats mannys biggest weapon , over-all , he is concentrating on speed , timing , and countering , which he has very good timing , more than decent countering , i think cotto is smart enough to take away mannys speed , he is a very smart fighter , has fought i think the stronger opponents , if cotto can find a way to neutralize mannys speed , and he can make manny miss , which , manny comes in at times with that kind of slap jab , bobing and weaving , and cotto finds a way into that body early , wow , manny's legacy can be ruined , cuz hatton , in my opinion was not over rated , but is not near as smart as cotto , he is 1 dimensional and everybody knows that. he did his best , he could have gotten maybe to round 8 or 9 with a lil more defense , but i think the fight was still going to have the same outcome. Anyways , im a fan of both , manny is awesome , great match-up . i dont know whats going to happen , it will be scary if cotto finds that body early , really scary and bloody , and if he doesnt , even bloodier , cuz paquiao is going to find that mouth, nose , and specially open that cut. PS: None of these "fast" guys you mentioned had the work rate, footwork, stamina and mental toughness that Pacquiao has. And bear in mind he eats left-hand dominant fighters for breakfast.
